Fuel Magazine issue 15 is nearly upon us, so we figured it’s time to show our subscribers what’s coming early next week. Well, the cover at least. If you follow us through the social media thingamyjigs you will have seen snippets and clues about what’s in this issue, but apart from that the full details of FM15 will stay under wraps until next week.
The delivery arrives at our office this Friday, at which point subscription copies will be saluted, debriefed, and sent back out in to the field to mailboxes around Australia early next week, and overseas shortly after. If you’d like to receive a copy in this first mail-out, head to the subscription page and sign up by Thursday night.. as Friday going to be on the hectic side. And remember, all subs are now entitled to a complimentary back issue at the time of ordering.
Single copies will go on sale mid next week and will begin mailing out shortly after. If you’re at the Geelong Revival this weekend, we will have copies there, and of course we will be letting them loose at our own Coffee & Classics event on Saturday 7th December.
So what’s with this cover? Editor Luke spent some time up in QLD recently at Peter Champion’s collection of Peter Brock memorabilia and came back all inspired and enthusiastic. So, it was his idea to represent Brock and the collection in a unique and contemporary way by means of this illustration. The hired gun to do that job was Melbourne based designer James O’Shea who, we have to admit, nailed it exactly as Luke envisioned it.
The coolest part is that the ‘Dayglo’ orange on the VK Big Banger is printed in fluorescent ink, not something that is easy to show in a digital image, but when you see a copy first hand the impact is clear. So why not get that subscription in and see for yourself? More details and contents imagery coming next week.
Enjoy. Team Fuel.
